The Draw for the 2015 Senior Hurling Championship will take place at Tuesday's Meeting of the County Board.
The format is same as last year:
As they were the 2014 Finalists Athleague and Four Roads will be seeded with one going into Group A and the other to Group B.
An Open Draw will take place amongst the other 5 Clubs with 3 going in group A and 2 going in Group B.
The teams drawn 1st & 2nd in each group will play each other in Round 1 and teams 3 & 4 in Group A play each other in Round 1
The Loser's Group Semi-Finals will feature the team that finish second in Group B against the Fourth place team in Group A and the second semi-Final will see the two 3rd placed teams in each group meet.
This year sees the introduction of a Senior B Championship and it will be contested by the three teams that don't reach the County Semi-Finals:
The two teams that are defeated in the Loser's Group Semi-Finals will meet in the B Championship Semi-Final
In the Final the winner of the above game will face the team that was defeated in the Losers Group Final
There is also a new format for the Senior Hurling League due to the addition of Longford Slashers.
The teams are split in to two groups and the top two in each group will go forward to the League Semi-Finals. The draw for the groups has been made and is as follows.
Group A: Oran, Tremane, Longford Slashers, Padraig Pearses
Group B: Athleague, Four Roads, St Dominics, Roscommon Gaels
